Yildiz Chair
The Chair: I love working with organic forms and every time I got an opportunity I design one, especially circle is my favorite geometric shape, this one although could be improved is stackable and and also has a rain hole in the middle, so suitable for outdoors. Recreate Image Decade Chair #381 designed in 2009
Permanent Link : http://www.omcdesign.com/?design=381&type=Chair [View]
Decade Chair
The Chair: I was watching a Japanese anime when I come up with this chair, in cartoons and animations the objects drawn are usually archetypes, for instance a strawberry jar package is basically a bottle with strawberry picture on it. The fact is that the effect is stronger than it seems, because the archetypes drawn in the animations catch the essence of the object. This was one of the "modern" chairs that the anime artist draw, it is the chair yet it is not any chair. I come up with a variation on the design that makes it more durable and "real" add my view of what the chair is, etc..

How to Produce: The production is simple, top part metal press formed, bottom part is cut panels that are press formed and then bended and then welded, imagine how you would create this chair out of paper, now apply this for metal plane..

Possible Materials: The designer noted the following materials could be used in production: Metal.

Dimensions and Packaging: The enclosing box for a single Decade Chair is 420 mm x 725 mm x 490 mm, each box contains a single Decade Chair and the bounding box dimensions for the package is 470 mm x 775 mm x 540 mm, roughly 165 pieces fit into 20' standard container and 330 pieces fit into the larger 40' standard container..
